Gemma Watts has been working in the fashion media sphere since early 2012, having worked for both local and international fashion and beauty publications.

With close to 5 years of experience as the Fashion Editor at Couturing.com, Gemma is highly skilled at writing editorial and news content, interviewing celebrities and fashion designers, styling photoshoots and filling the role of producer and director across all of Couturing's video content.

2014 saw L'Oréal Paris approach Gemma to create beauty content for their Australian advertorial website where she was eventually promoted to the platform's Beauty Editor in 2015.

With a Bachelor of Communication (Journalism) and an Advanced Diploma in Professional Writing and Editing under her belt, Gemma's interest in media spans beyond the fashion and beauty industries. Gemma has used her passion for public speaking to secure work as a rehearsal stand-in presenter at the TV Week Logie Awards, judging several Fashions on the Field events during the 2015 Caulfield Cup Carnival, and more recently being appointed the Northland Shopping Centre Guest Stylist.

Gemma is now working in a freelance capacity for a number of fashion and beauty brands, fusing her love of writing, photography and producing.



Having worked as a Fashion Editor for over 4 years, and spending 2 years writing in house for L'Oréal Paris Australia, Gemma is skilled at writing editorial, news, interviews and copy across the fashion and beauty spheres.


Gemma's photography has been sought out by a number of fashion, beauty and lifestyle clients, with her strengths including macro product photography and photo styling.


Gemma's skills include conceptualising and storyboarding video projects, directing the videographer and talent and working closely with the editor to ensure the final project reflects the client's initial brief.


Gemma's passion for public speaking has seen her host and MC styling workshops at Northland Shopping Centre, as well as joining the judging panel and presenting the winner of Fashions on the Field during the 2015 Caulfield Cup Carnival.


In her role at the Northland Guest Stylist, Gemma has styled editorials and visual merchandising displays as well as working with clients in one-on-one styling sessions. Gemma has also worked one-on-one with corporate and fashion clients, styling them for work and events.
